will memescanr delete my photos automatically?
no. never. memescanr flags items for review but every deletion requires your explicit confirmation through the ios system dialog. nothing is auto-deleted. you always get the final say.
are my photos uploaded anywhere?
no. everything happens on your device. we don't have a server. we don't have a cloud. we literally can't see your photos. the scan engine, compression, and classification all run locally.
why was this photo flagged?
memescanr uses multiple signals to detect junk: perceptual hashing for duplicates, ML classification for memes, blur scoring for blurry shots, and ios metadata for screenshots. tap the "?" icon on any flagged item to see exactly why it was flagged. the detection isn't perfect — you always get the final say.
how do i cancel my subscription?
go to ios settings → your name → subscriptions → memescanr → cancel. subscriptions are managed entirely by apple — we don't process payments and can't cancel on your behalf.
what happens to my backroom items if i delete the app?
they're permanently deleted. backroom items are stored locally in the app's sandbox. no cloud backup. if you delete the app, everything in the backroom goes with it. we always warn you about this in the onboarding.
does memescanr work on ipad?
yes. memescanr supports both iphone and ipad in portrait and landscape. the layout adapts to larger screens with centered content and the same cosmic design system.
how do i restore my premium purchase?
go to settings → subscription → "already paid? restore here." tap it and your purchase will be restored via apple's storekit. you can also find restore in the premium paywall dialog.
