Does MemeScanr work on iPad?

Yes. MemeScanr is a universal iOS app that runs natively on iPhone and iPad. On iPad it uses a dedicated two-column Home layout so the storage ring, scan button, and quick actions sit side-by-side instead of stacked in a narrow column. Supported on iPad mini, iPad, iPad Air, iPad Pro 11-inch, and iPad Pro 13-inch — in both portrait and landscape.

What's different on iPad?

The Home tab uses a two-column layout when the screen width is ≥740 points. The storage orb and forecast sit on the left, the scan button and quick actions sit on the right. This fills the iPad canvas properly instead of rendering the iPhone-width column with massive empty margins on either side. Content is capped at 1100 points wide so the 13-inch Pro in landscape doesn't stretch awkwardly.

Every other tab (Clean, Backroom, Settings) uses the same phone layout the iPhone uses, just centered with comfortable margins.

Does MemeScanr sync between iPhone and iPad?

No. MemeScanr runs entirely on-device with no cloud backend. Each device keeps its own local scan database. If you use iCloud Photos, both devices see the same library through PhotoKit, but scan results, cleanup progress, Backroom contents, and Memory Lane history are tracked per-device.

Is the iPad version free?

Yes. A single App Store purchase — or MemeScanr Premium subscription — covers both iPhone and iPad on the same Apple ID.

Does MemeScanr support Split View on iPad?

Yes. Split View and Slide Over both work. When the app window drops below 740 points wide (for example, in a narrow Slide Over), the Home tab reverts to the single-column phone layout. When the window is wider, the two-column layout activates. The transition is smooth because it's driven by a Flutter LayoutBuilder, not a fixed device check.
